Coach Lina has experience instructing players of all ages and levels since 2020. From peewee beginners to college-bound competitors to retirees, she guides students through every stage of development, emphasizing technique, strategy, and a love for the game.
Lina grew up in a tennis family spanning three generations. Her father, Dave Larson (Lars), played on the men’s team at Stanford and coached at the Vic Braden Tennis Academy before continuing his career in the tennis industry. Her mother competed in the German Bundesliga and also coached for several years. Lina and her younger brother trained at Central Park Tennis Club in Kirkland, Washington, and later under Vitaly Gorin, building a strong foundation that shaped her technique and coaching philosophy.

Her career spans clubs/companies including Marbella Country Club, Mountaingate Country Club, and Palisades Tennis Center. Now self-employed, she coaches lessons on private courts across West LA.
While she works with players of all levels, Lina currently specializes in beginner youth players (red, orange, and green ball), as well as ranked juniors competing in USTA/UTR tournaments. Passionate about building confidence, skill, and a lifelong love of tennis, Lina tailors her coaching to each player’s unique goals and potential.
In 2025 Lina traveled internationally to support, coach, and mentor an American, Top 20 ITF Junior-ranked player, who was Singles Finalist at the 2025 J200 Brazil Cup in both singles and doubles, and won the Singles Championship at the J500 Banana Bowl, both in Brazil. She doesn't take credit for the results, but believes her acai bowl bribes may have helped with extra motivation to win.
Lina also runs her own tennis summer camps, blending her two passions, Tennis and Art, fostering well-rounded youth development. She aims to be a role model to young girls, promoting life skills they can take off the court surrounding good sportsmanship, integrity, inclusivity, and self-confidence.
